Liz Stillman's PledgePage
Earlier this year, my mother's friend Walter Brady died from brain cancer. He was a huge influence on my life when I was growing up, and he was always there for my mother. He was an avid runner. When he died, I resolved that if God took one runner from this earth, I would replace him (it was certainly a more realistic goal than becoming a statistician!).
Running in the Day Kimball Hospital Deary Memorial Five Mile Road Race is a seemingly unreachable goal for me at this point in my life. I'm not sure I've ever run more than a mile, and that was only because I had to. I have six months to get in to shape, both mentally and physically, and I'd like to raise some money for Day Kimball as well. I'm running to honor Walter, and this race is to raise funds to provide free mammograms and related cancer services to members of the community. Wish Me Luck! =] |
